The flexible eating plan

Good morning! I hope you are having a great day so far. I wanted to say a massive thank you to all the love on my Instagram post. So many of you messaged and commented about how I stay slim and still do the Baking job I do and so I wanted to write a very brief post about it. If there is more interest, then I will most certainly do more on the subject.

So I do eat a fairly balanced diet. I use the word diet very loosely because it is more a way of life. I find the best way to maintain (or get to a place which you are comfortable) is to calculate the calories required for a person of your height, weight, age and sex needs. Then to calculate the actual Macros (Proteins, fats, and carbohydrates) you need and then download an app like my fitness pal so you can input your food and see what you are eating on any given day.

Now, this is something which helps initially. I then find that after a while it is easier to get a handle on portion control and what is macros are in what. And as the weight comes to a good healthy and happy place for you, then using that app is less needed. I use it now and again when I go a little bit off piste for example over Christmas or if I am doing something like judging a cake competition for most of the Summer and also doing bikini shoots!

I  was in Miami doing a couple of shoots which was lots of fun. The shoots came in the middle of me working around eating lots of cakes for work, so it is around this time that I used myfitness pal to make sure I was getting a good balance and getting enough good nutrients into my body too.

I hope this helps some. Do feel free to leave questions in the comments. Being happy with one’s body is all about how you feel within, no matter what anyone says. People say it is about loving your body. I say that it is about first accepting your body for where it is, then finding bits that you like about your body and gradually adding more and more, and not comparing. And always making sure that you nourish it and take care for it as best you can. I honestly never thought I would loose the four stone that I put on after having beautiful Ella and keeping it off,  but it truly is possible… one pound and positive thought at a time.
Have yourself a beautiful day.
Big love Lorraine xxx

      Hi there,
For me it is about knowing how many calories along with the fat, carbs and proteins I need to be eating. And keeping a food diary in my fitness pal. This really tracks how much I am eating and tells me when to pull back and when to add more to my food! I hope this makes sense. Have a wonderful day x
