It’s just not working.

Ever tried so hard to be liked or loved? Knowing that no matter how hard you try, nothing seems to work?

You have glimpses of the love you seek but it is never quite enough. Love is consistent, it is safe and it is kind. You can tell how someone loves you by the way you feel when you are around them. Love allows you to really like who you are in that person’s presence. We know people have challenges of their own which render them less likely to be able to freely give love, but should we make their problem our problem?  We are not here to control, mend or fix.

If you are not getting the love you deserve, how long will you allow yourself to put up with less than you are worth?

If it is destroying your self-esteem as someone once told me then ‘it’s probably not love my dear’.

And if it’s family, then sometimes we have to spend less time with people who aren’t loving or who make us feel unloveable. Physical distance is first and if that is not possible then emotional distance is your friend.

It takes courage to walk away from what no longer serves us. Or something that perhaps never really did.

Walk towards the light, walk towards the love. Walk into the life that YOU want and that makes you happy.
